In MuPAD Pro 4, the integrated Virtual Camera (VCam) toolkit for visualizing 2D and 3D plots has been enhanced with new ways to specify color, improvements to 2D and 3D plots, a new quantile/quantile plot, and new utility functions in the plot library.
The MuPAD Pro user interface allows for the easy creation and interactive manipulation of graphics. VCam features shading, zooming, clipping planes, rotating, point requests, and perspective control of scenes. The program uses OpenGL® to produce 3D plots. Animations of 2D and 3D objects can be exported in AVI format. The extensive plot library contains over 80 graphical object types with hundreds of properties that can be fine-tuned.
Also implemented are advanced algorithms for plotting functions, implicit functions, curves, and surfaces. Adaptive algorithms allow the plotting of graphs near singularities. The program draws asymptotes of function graphs in two dimensions. Circles, boxes, text, and other typical primitives are available. Objects can be grouped for transformation.
Hatches between arbitrary graphs and vector fields are available in 2D logarithmic and conformal plots. Density and raster plots allow plotting of images. Transparency is available for 2D and 3D plots. Additionally, bar, matrix and ODE plots, pie charts, and regular polyhedra are available in 3D.
The 2D and 3D plots created with MuPAD Pro can be exported to many formats including popular raster formats, EPS, WMF, and SVG. A graphics tutorial contains detailed information for working with VCam to create interactive graphics with MuPAD Pro 4.
