Message: Error running TeX

Version: 3.5x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word

Problem

When you try to compile a document, the LaTeX window closes and SWP or SW displays this message:

Error running TeX, dvi file not created.

Explanation

An error has prevented LaTeX from completing the compilation.

Solution

Isolate and correct the error and typeset the document again.
