How to generate a PostScript file from an SWP, SW, or SNB document

Version: 2.5, 3.x, & 4.x - Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, & Scientific Notebook

These instructions explain how to generate a PostScript file from your document:

  1. Make sure a PostScript printer or print driver is installed on your computer. You don't have to have a PostScript printer physically attached to your computer. See your Windows documentation for more information.

  2. Open your SWP, SW, or SNB document.

  3. From the Typeset menu in SWP or SW, choose Preview, or from the File menu in SWP, SW, or SNB, choose Preview.

  4. From the File menu in the Previewer, choose Print.

  5. From the Print dialog box, select the PostScript printer.

  6. Check Print to file.

  7. Choose OK.

  8. Enter a name for the file you are about to create.

You can create a PostScript file on a floppy disk easily by specifying the disk drive, e.g. A:\anywhere\myfile.ps

  9. Choose OK.
