Document 74 Cross-references in master documents preview incorrectlyVersion: 2.5, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word Q. I have a master document that contains several subdocuments, each with cross-references to figures. If I preview one of the subdocuments by itself, the LaTeX compiler automatically makes two passes, and the references compile and preview properly. However, if I preview the master document, the compiler makes only one pass, and the references don't compile or preview correctly. Can I fix the problem? A. Yes, you can solve the problem easily by specifying the number of passes you want the LaTeX compiler to perform when you start the preview process: from the Typeset menu, choose Preview, then specify the number of passes in the entry area in the LaTeX dialog box.
