Problem with table lines
Version: 3.x - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word
Problem
Lines have been removed from a table, but they appear in print. Further, they
have a different printed appearance depending on whether the document is
produced with or without typesetting
Explanation
Unfortunately, this is a bug related to command overrides in the table
editor.
Solution
We suggest this workaround. Follow the instructions below to use an ASCII editor
to modify your file until the LaTeX printout is correct, then create an
encapsulated TeX field containing the table:.
-
Open your document in an ASCII editor and scroll to the table. Tables begin with
\begin{tabular} and end with \end{tabular.
-
Manipulate the table lines until they are they way you want them.
-
Save the file.
-
Open the file in SWP or SW and preview it from the
Typeset menu.
-
Repeat steps 2-4 until the appearance of the table is as you want it.
-
In the ASCII editor, copy the entire table to the clipboard.
-
In SWP or SW, place the insertion point where you want the table to appear.
-
From the Insert menu, choose
Field and then choose
TeX.
-
Check Encapsulated and give the field a name.
-
In the input area, paste the lines of code you copied to the clipboard and
choose OK.
-
From the Typeset menu, choose
Preview to ensure that the appearance of the
table is as you want it, and then close the previewer.
-
Save and close your document.
