Version 5 now available in German

The German language version of Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, and Scientific Notebook 5 has just been released and is now available exclusively through our German distributor, Additive GmbH.

The localized products feature menu commands, dialogs, and tooltips in German and include an updated version of Einführung in Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, und Scientific Notebook (a translation of Getting Started). Version 5.0 features RTF and HTML export and, in Scientific WorkPlace and Scientific Word, the creation of typeset PDF files with pdfLaTeX. Scientific WorkPlace and Scientific Notebook include the MuPAD computer algebra engine.

Patch Update 2570 for Version 5

Build 2570 of Version 5 of Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, and Scientific Notebook is available. The build includes important improvements. Learn more and download a free patch update.

If you have an earlier version of the software, explore the new features available when you upgrade to Version 5.

Tips from our users: Enter unit names faster from the keyboard

You can speed the entry of unit names if you use the keyboard to enter automatic substitution sequences for the units you use most often. From the Tools menu, choose Automatic Substitution and scroll the list of predefined substitution sequences (most start with the letter u). Or, search the Help system for Unit Name to find a complete list of keyboard shortcuts for unit names.
