We have released a patch update for Version 5.0 of Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, and Scientific Notebook. Creating BibTeX bibliographies ensures that your bibliography formatting is perfect, but it requires that you first create or obtain a database of bibliographic information. This can be time-consuming.
You can minimize the task by downloading entries from Econlit using Econlit2BibTeX, which is a version of elit2bib for Windows compiled with Perl2Exe. See http://darp.lse.ac.uk/cruces/econlit2bibtex.htm for more information.
We are working on a new tool to improve the importation of native LaTeX documents (those not created with one of our products) into Scientific WorkPlace or Scientific Word. Importation can be an issue if you are using homemade macros or if you are working with a co-author who doesn't use our products. We'd like to see any native LaTeX documents you might have that don't load into Scientific WorkPlace or Scientific Word as successfully as you think they should.
