Document 348

The lambdabar character Math: lambda bar typesets incorrectly

Version: 3.5x, 4.0 - Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word

Problem

The lambdabar character Math: lambda bar appears in the document window, but doesn't typeset. In the TrueTeX preview window, the character appears as a black box. Version 4.0 issues a warning when you attempt to typeset a document containing the character.

Explanation

The lambdabar character, obtained by holding down the Ctrl key and typing lambdabar, typesets properly in documents created with REVTeX4 shells. Other shells don't automatically include the package that correctly typesets the character.

Solution

Create your document using a REVTeX4 shell. Alternatively, you can use the revsymb package, regardless of the shell with which the document was created. Add the revsymb.sty package to your document.

This document was created with Scientific WorkPlace.
