Creating landscaped objects

Version: 3.x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word

If your tables are too wide for portrait orientation, you can produce them on single landscaped pages within a DVI file using the portland package. You may need to change the printer settings to print landscape pages properly or print landscaped pages in a separate printing run.

Alternatively, you can orient pages differently with the lscape package or the rotating package. Packages that involve rotating text aren't compatible with the TrueTeX previewer provided with SWP and SW, so to produce a DVI file that uses one of these packages, you must use a DVI previewer and print driver that also support text rotation. PDF viewers do support rotation, so you can successfully use the packages to rotate text in typeset PDF files.
