How to create an appendix for a Style Editor style

Version: 2.5 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word

The Style Editor Article style and most Style Editor book styles have built-in appendix tags. To create an appendix for a document created with one of these styles, follow these steps:

  1. Open the SW document.

  2. Place the insertion point where you want the appendix to begin.

  3. From the Body and Section Tag popup menu, choose the Appendix tag.

  4. Enter a title for the appendix.

  5. Press Enter.

  6. Begin entering the appendix material.

If the Style Editor style you're using doesn't have a built-in appendix tag and you want to add one, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Style Editor.

  2. From the Parts menu, choose Division.

The division dialog box appears with the General tab sheet open.

  3. Choose the New Item button.

  4. Enter the item name for your division in the New Item dialog box.

  5. Choose OK.

  6. Set up the heading for the division.

  7. Set up the counters for the division.

  8. Set up the page layout for the division.

  9. Save the style.
