How to change the format of citations
Version: 2.5 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word
When you create a citation for multiple references in a document, the
ordinary format for the citation is [1, 2, 3, 4]. You can change that format
to [1-4] with the cite.sty macro. Follow these steps to change the citation
format:

Specify the citation format:

Open your document.

From the File menu, choose
Style.

In the LaTeX Style for Print and Preview dialog
box, click Go Native.

In the Version section of the
Native LaTeX Style dialog box, click
LaTeX 2e.

In the Packages input area, type
{cite}.
-
Choose OK to close the Native LaTeX Style dialog
box.

Choose OK to close the LaTeX Style for Print and
Preview dialog box.

Create the citation:
-
Place the insertion point where you want the citation to occur.

From the Insert menu, choose
Field and then choose
Citation.

In the input field, list the names of all the authors you want to cite,
separated by commas.

Choose OK.
