How to typeset a closed double integral symbol

Some users need unusual mathematical symbols that are not included in the SW symbol set. These instructions explain how to create the closed double integral. You can apply the same procedure to create other symbols.

  1. From the Insert menu, choose Operatoror click the Operator button.

  2. In the Operator dialog box, select the double integral.

  3. In the Size area, select Big.

  4. Choose OK.

  5. From the Insert menu, choose Spacing and then choose Horizontal Space.

  6. In the Type area, select Custom Space.

  7. In the Size area, select Fixed.

  8. Set the units to centimeters.

  9. Set the width to -.52.

  10. Choose OK.

  11. In the Binary Operations symbol panel, click the large circle.

  12. Save and preview your document.

The closed double integral should appear correctly in the previewer.
