Opening RTF files

Version: 2.5, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace, Scientific Word, & Scientific Notebook

The program can read Rich Text Format (RTF) files with reasonable accuracy. Version 5.x also accurately converts mathematics created with MathType 3 (Equation Editor) or MathType 5.

1. Click the Open button on the Standard toolbar, or from the File menu, choose Open.

2. Click the down arrow at the right end of the Files of Type box and choose RTF (*.rtf).

3. Select the directory containing the file and the RTF file itself.

4. Choose OK to open the file.

When you save the document, the program automatically saves it as a LaTeX (.tex) file.
