Version: 2.01 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word

First print your SW document to a file using the print driver for the destination printer, then transfer the file to the other PC and print.

  1. Print your document to a file.

    1. Make sure the print driver you need is installed on your PC. See your Windows documentation for instructions.

    2. Preview your SW document.

    3. From the File menu in the Previewer, choose Print.

    4. From the Print dialog box, choose the printer that matches the one on which you want to print the document.

    5. Check Print to file.

    6. Choose OK.

    7. Enter a name for the file you are about to create. You can create a file on a disk easily by specifying the disk drive.

    8. Choose OK.

  2. Transfer the file to the other PC and print your document.

    1. If you didn't create the file on a floppy disk, copy it to a disk.

    2. Insert the disk in the PC attached to the printer you want to use.

    3. From a DOS prompt, type copy a:\xyz\myfile.* LPT1 where a:\xyz\myfile.* is the file name and LPT1 is the printer port.
