Document 155

How to change section numbers from Roman to Arabic numbers

Version: 2.01 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word

Section numbers are produced automatically by the typesetting style you choose for your document, but you can override the style to reset the numbering scheme by entering a TeX command.

  1. From the File menu, choose Doc Infoand then choose LaTeX.

  2. When the LaTeX window opens, look for the line \input tcilatex.

  3. Enter this command on the next line: \renewcommand{\thesection}{\arabic{section}}

  4. Choose OK.

This won't affect the numbering of other divisions in your document.

Revised 03/19/96

This document was created with Scientific WorkPlace.
