Document 160 How to change the swap file default factor for WindowsVersion: 2.5 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word By default, Windows allows the size of the swap file to be a maximum of four times larger than the available RAM. However, you can modify the swap file default factor in the system.ini file. Note that although modifying the default factor may allow you to run applications that you otherwise couldn't run, it may also slow things down noticeably.
