How to enter a caption for a table
Version: 2.x, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific
Word
Floating tables can carry captions and numbers. If you add a caption to a
table, the program automatically creates the table number unless you suppress
it. Here's how to insert and label a floating table:
-
Insert the table:
-
Place the insertion point where you want to enter the table.
-
Import the fragment table - (4x3, floating) or, in earlier versions, table4_3.
The program inserts a fragment containing a table with four rows and three
columns.
-
Edit the dimensions of the table so that it has the number of rows and columns
you want.
-
Create the contents of the table cells.
-
Create the caption:
-
Select the box marked caption.
The program opens the TeX Field dialog box, which shows this entry:
\caption{Table Caption}.
-
Select the words Table Caption and then type the
caption you want for the table.
-
Choose OK.
