How to install Win32s for Scientific WorkPlace and Scientific Word

Version: 2.01 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word

The process differs depending on whether you have already installed Scientific WorkPlace or Scientific Word.

If you haven't yet installed SW:

1. Begin the SW installation process.

2. When the installation program asks if you want to install Win32s, choose Yes.

3. Insert SW disk #7 (the first of two Win32s disks) in your computer.

4. When the screen message prompts you, insert SW disk #8.

5. When the screen message prompts you, insert SW disk #7 again.

6. To verify the correct installation of Win32s, choose to install the card game Freecell.

7. Use Freecell to make sure that Win32s has been properly installed.

8. Remove the disk from your drive and restart Windows.

9. Restart the SW installation process.

If you have already installed SW:

1. Insert SW disk #7 (the first of two Win32s disks) in your computer.

2. Run the setup program.

3. When the screen message prompts you, insert SW disk #8.

4. When the screen message prompts you, insert SW disk #7 again.

5. To verify the correct installation of Win32s, choose to install the card game Freecell.

6. Use Freecell to make sure that Win32s has been properly installed.

7. Remove the disk from your drive and restart Windows.

8. Start SW and test the installation by previewing a document.

If you have problems installing Win32s, read this troubleshooting information.
