How to use the font update for Scientific Word 2.5 for the Power Macintosh

Version: 2.5 - Scientific Word for the Macintosh

If you have installed Build 564 of the Macintosh version of Scientific Word 2.5, you may be experiencing printing problems because:

• Several Postscript font files included in the build were damaged.

• Several fonts included in the build were missing ligatures.

• The Style Editor styles did not make effective use of resident printer fonts.

• Some Style Editor styles had format problems.

• Your PostScript printer has inadequate memory to print SW documents.

We've created a Font Update to the release that we think will solve these problems and that includes an OzTeX Configuration option for users with less than ample memory in their PostScript printers.

We're sending the update on floppy disk to all registered customers. You can also download the update from our ftp site. To download and install the update

1. Download the FontUpd.hqx update file from our FTP site. The file is compressed in BinHex format.

2. Use your favorite utility to unBinHex the update file.

3. Double-click the new file FontUpd.sea to extract the installer.

4. Double-click the installer Scientific Word 2.5 Font Update and follow the instructions provided.

This update should solve your printing problems.
