Adobe Premiere and AVI files

Version: 2.5 - Scientific WorkPlace & Scientific Word

Q. Can I use Adobe Premiere to make AVI files that can be accessed by Scientific Word or Scientific WorkPlace?

A. Yes, you can. Adobe Premiere AVI files can be accessed with SW as external program calls and used to activate the media player. One user has produced some interesting animations of graphs drawn inside SW with Maple or Mathematica.

This user notes, however, that Version 4.2 of Adobe Premiere may not be able to handle the wmf snapshots that are drawn in SW. The problem has to do with the importation of wmf files with a file size of 320 by 240. Apparently all other file sizes work fine. If the snapshots made by your SW installation are 320-by-240 snapshots, we suggest that you use Version 4.0 of Adobe Premiere if you want to animate plots drawn in SW.
