Plots don't typeset preview or print

Version: 3.5x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace

Problem

Some plots don't appear when you typeset preview or print the document. When the document is previewed or printed without typesetting, the same plots appear without any problem.

Explanation

No snapshot was generated for the plots that don't appear when you typeset. (Plot snapshots aren't necessary when you preview or print without typesetting.)

Solution

Make sure that automatic snapshot generation is turned on and actively generate a snapshot for the plot.

  1. From the Tools menu choose Computation Setup.

  2. Choose the Plot Behavior tab.

  3. Make sure Generate Plot Snapshots Automatically is checked.

  4. Choose OK.

If a plot still does not appear in preview or print, the snapshot may still be missing. Follow these steps to ensure that a snapshot is generated:

  1. Select the plot.

  2. From the Edit menu, choose Properties.

  3. Choose the View tab.

If the dialog box indicates No snapshot file, a snapshot of the plot hasn't been generated.

  4. Choose Generate Snapshot.

  5. Choose OK.

  6. Typeset the document again.
