May 2012. I would like to apologize to our customers for the delay in releasing Version 6 of our products. Our estimates for how long the project would take were too optimistic. In spite of this, version 6 does exist, and we are making real progress in reducing the bugs. We will release version 6. Absolutely. But we will not release it until it matches our standards for quality. Anybody who has bought any of our version 5.5 products after November 1, 2010, is entitled to a free copy of the corresponding version 6 product when it is released. We appreciate your loyalty, patience, and business. We think when version 6 is released, you will agree that it has been worth the wait.
President, MacKichan Software, Inc.
June 2011. Initially hired in May 1986, George Pearson celebrates his 25th year with our company and the Scientific WorkPlace line of products. George also holds the distinction of being the first technical support staff hired by the company and the longest continuous employee. Back in 1986, the company was called TCI Software Research and the product we developed and sold was called T3. Since then, George has facilitated 11 upgrades and participated in the creation of Scientific Word, Scientific WorkPlace, and Scientific Notebook. As George points out, he's not the only person who has been with our products for 25 years, he is still working with some of our original customers. Also, after their short absence, he is again working with two of the original owners. Congratulations, George, here's hoping the next 25 are as good as the last!
