Creating short table of contents entries

Version: 3.x, 4.x, 5.x - Scientific WorkPlace and Scientific Word

If a section heading is long, define a separate shorter heading that can fit better in the table of contents,

1. Place the insertion point at the beginning of the section heading.

2. Type the short heading enclosed in square brackets.

The program also uses the short heading for the page header.
