New and updated styles are available on our ftp site. You can download them from the site and move them to your SW directory, then use them to create your SW documents.

Below, we briefly describe each new and updated style. For each, we indicate

  • Style Editor or non-Style Editor style
  • The document type (article, book, memo, etc.) and style name as it will be listed in SW
  • The institution or journal, if any, providing the guidelines we followed to create the style
  • The primary features of the style

Improvements and Corrections:

  • Appearance of list numbering has been improved.
  • Initial values for List of Figures and List of Tables are preset.
  • Appearance of Table of Contents has been improved.
  • Bibliography, indexes, and appendixes are properly formatted.
  • Lists of Figures and Lists of Tables work correctly.
  • Justification has been repaired.
  • Cross-references to list items now appear correctly in preview and printed versions.
  • Cross-references to unnumbered sections have been removed.
  • Text tags that refer to font sizes now appear in the Text Tags list.
  • Defaults are set to save the .cst and .shl files for documents created with the style.

AMS Style Editor Book Style

Primary features:

  • Includes a revised version of sebase.cls, which must be downloaded with the style.
  • Adapted from amsmath.sty for use with the SW Style Editor.
  • All standard AMS equation environments (align, gather, etc.) are available.
  • amsmath.sty is loaded automatically.
  • User-defined Inline Elements can now appear in running headers and footers.
  • Mathletters are integrated correctly with AMS and LaTeX equation constructs.

Special instructions:

After downloading the files associated with this style, you must also complete these steps:

  1. From the Windows File Manager or Explorer, rename the sebase.cls file in the SW tex\macros\styledit subdirectory to sebase.old .
  2. Download the file sebase.cls to your SW tex\macros\styledit subdirectory.
  3. Download the file sebase.txt to any directory on your system, then read the file.
  4. Download the file sebkam1.txt to any directory on your system, then read the file.

Style type: .cls file

The .cls file defines the minimum set of information required for all Style Editor styles. Any particular style is further defined by the information contained in the document class, .sty file, and packages associated with the style.
