Errors and error messages

You may see these errors and error messages as you try to open, save, typeset, preview, or print documents.

• \begin{subequations} ended by \end{environment}.

• Blue dots appear instead of characters in typeset documents.

• Bold math is not supported

• Cannot connect to license server.

• Can't find file (filename).

• Can't find file (filename.cst).

• Characters in the file name or directory are invalid on some TeX systems.

• Characters preview or print incorrectly with PCTeX.

• Command \proof already defined.

• Common LaTeX errors.

• Cross-references in master documents preview incorrectly.

• DVI file has too few trailer bytes.

• EPS graphics typeset incorrectly in DVI files.

• Error parsing TeX expression.
